Typical Shanghai architecture...


not far form ppl square you can find beautiful typical architecture from last century, ok smthg was buit few years ago, but it should be something like "museum in nature". The architecture is very similar to europe, i felt a little but like at home. Also i saw house where was the first meeting of communist party, because of this sometimes ppl think that origin of communism is in Shanghai.

In this part you can find nice architecture, shops with typical chinese things which are very, very expensive and also lot of european restaurants where you can get mainly german beer.Its not cheap but when you like beer, its better than try some american bud.....r

When you come to ppl square, the first moment you dont believe that its reality...so many high buildings, different design and in the night, when everything is shining, with different colours its like fairytale, we dont ahev this in Czech republic, now i know why ppl form Asia are so excited from our old buildings...and another surprise is nice park in the middle of square, ther is great bar...but its another story :-)

Mexican restaurant + Barbarossa + Aiesec ppl & ppl from EU Chamber of commerce

This week Primrose from MC MoC was visiting Shanghai, everyone of us had few meetings at chamber of commerce. Our last meeting was on friday at EU chamber of commerce in Shanghai. There we had meting with Silvia, during meeting we realized that she was somehow in touch with Aiesec, when she studied in Italy so we decided to invite her for todays dinner with ppl who are somehow connected with Aiesec and they are in Shanghai.
After long time ive met ppl from Europe, really its cool to be abroad but sometimes you need tospeak with ppl from your country or continent

We had really cool dinner in Mexican restaurant at ppl square, really tasty and also really expensive. When we wanted to make photo, so someone from us said Aiesec and some guy asked us if we are really from Aiesec, if we are not joking…This guy, was in Aiesec –MC Taiwan i think that 10 years ago and now he works in Dell in Shanghai, so we have another member of Shanghai Gathering group.

After cool dinner we decided to go Barbarossa, club in the middle of ppl square, in park…We spent there great night, everyone was enjoyig this night, we tried some mixed drinks, smoke water pipe, listened club music and share our experiences from China and all countries we have been or which we come from or which we visited. This night i relaized how small is world…in every country you meet ppl, from Aiesec, which knows someone who you know. Really Aiesec network.

If you will be in Shanghai, I can recommend you this club,it has few floors, some are open air, so you can enjoy music, drinks, water pipe,…and cool view around ppl square. Really amazing feeling when you see alll this skyscrapers

Czech – Chinese – English -Swedish night

As i wrote at energy seminar i have met Peter from Ikea…once he asked me if i can help with translation and pronunciation of part of czech opera Rusalka – song of the moon(Měsíčku na nebi…).

Ok i didnt know what exactly to expect but i agreed. When i came how was my surprise …Peters wife is singer and also teacher of singing and she wanted to help with pronunciation.

As first we had really cool dinner, home made chinese meal – so tasty and really cool. I hope that i will get receipt. But im not sure if we can meet again. After this cool dinner and talk there was waiting surprise for me – I heard chinese native to sing czech opera in czech language!!!! Probably not many of you can imagine how i felt – it was so amazing and i think that i will never have the same feelings…Czech language is very hard and sing in czehc language when you dont know how to pronunce it and also you have only czech song so you can hear smthg…I was so surprised, the pronunciation was very good.
We spent some time by pronunciation learning, i was teacher :) it was really nice, i recommend you to try this. Also i didint write it before but Peter is from Sweden and his wife comes from China…really cool and international night.

Everywhere in world you can find friends, cool ppl and also love. World doesnt have borders when you are open – minded.
